Tuesday, June 3 at 19.00 is inaugurated, at the headquarters of the European Institute of Design in\nRome, in Via Alcamo 11, the photographic exhibition of Alessio Carosi, penultimate event of the Grow -\nUp, curated by Viviana Gravano and Claudio Calibotti. Alessio Carosi, a young artist from Viterbo, has\nbuilt his camera that allows you to take a photo by turning 360 degrees, recording, in motion,\neverything around the machine. The resulting image therefore shows not only the circular space of the\nplane, but also the time of the entire sequence in a single contemporary moment, always simultaneous\nto itself. Each photograph definitively defeats the idea of sequence to synthesize the evolution of time\nin a single moment. Each photograph transforms a circular space into an image, the work of Alessio\nCarosi questions the very idea of frontal and two-dimensional reproduction of photography, both in a\nspatial and temporal sense.<\/p>

The work exhibited in the exhibition forces the observer to feel in a dimension physically impossible for\nhim and yet materialized there, not through an instrument of pure fantasy like painting, but through an\nimage generated by an "exact machine" like the camera. Once again, photography shows that truth\ndoes not exist and that the representation of the world is nothing but a pure illusion, a constant\nfalsification: a parallel and simultaneous world that lives only according to its internal rules. The long\nphotographic strokes of Alessio Carosi are thus placed in the middle between cinema and\nphotography, overcoming the roundup and at the same time destroying the myth of the snapshot.\nThe images no longer tell a moment, but a time, a story with a duration.<\/p>
